Wood Buffalo produced 239.6 million m³ of oil in 2023, first in the province. Oil production in Wood Buffalo greatly increased 65.5% year-over-year, and increased 80.7% in the last five years. Wood Buffalo is the 7th fastest growing municipality in the province.
